Goal for Today: To live stress and worry free by focusing on spiritual matters instead of material things
Bible Promise for today: Matthew 6:31-33
"So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Thought for the Day: By God's Grace, choose today to think and focus about heavenly and eternal things, instead of earthly and material things. Think about eternity, your salvation and assurance in Christ, and about Divine destiny. Think more about God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and less about paying your bills and having more "stuff." Think about faith, forgiveness, and love instead of gadgets, sports, shows, or "soap operas."
Suggested Prayer: "Father in Heaven. Today, by your Grace, I want to focus on my destiny and on eternal things more than on earthly and temporal things. Help me to meditate on eternity and Heaven, and help me to choose today where I will spend eternity. Thank you for already choosing me in Christ. Bless me so that I can be a blessing to others today. In Jesus' name. Amen."
