Here is Your Word for Today:

Verse:            Revelation 7:1-3

"After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.  Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:  “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”

- God's angels are holding back the winds of destruction, strife, and chaos, until God's servants receive the Seal of God on their foreheads.
- Since God knows everyone of those who are His, He wants to seal them in order to deliver them from the destruction that ultimately will come upon this world.
- The Seal of God is a special identification mark, that helps God's people "settle into the truth" and thus be identified with God, mentally and spiritually.
- The Seal of God can be yours today if you open your heart, invite Jesus in as Your Lord, Savior, and Friend, and allow God to baptize you today with the Holy Spirit.
- While the Seal of God includes the Seventh-day Sabbath, the Seal of God according to the Bible is the Promised Holy Spirit. (Cf. Ephesians 1:13-14)

PRAYER: Dear Jesus, thank You for holding back the four winds (strife, wars, destruction) of the earth, until Your servants are sealed on their foreheads with the Seal of the Living God, the Promised Holy Spirit. Thank You for calling me today to be Your servant and ambassador, and for wanting to Seal me as one of your very own, who hear Your Voice and follow You every day of my life. Thank You for promising to keep me safe and secure as I "abide" and "live with" You each day of my life. I love you! Thank You for loving me first. In Your name I pray, Amen!
