Here is Your Word for Today:

Here is Your Word for Today:

"And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh." Romans 13:11-14

Understanding the "times" requires spiritual wisdom and Heavenly discernment, which only God's Spirit can give you as a free gift. James 1:5 says, "If any man needs wisdom, he should ask of God who will give to all liberally." It's important today to know and understand the times we live in: "a time of intercession by Jesus in the Most Holy Place"; "a time of revival for every disciple of Jesus and for every church"; "a time of prophetic urgency to give the world God's last message before Jesus returns"; and "a time to draw closer to Jesus through prayer, Bible study, and sharing your witness and testimony with others." Today, by God's grace, you can begin to know and understand the times we live in by building a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ. Today, by God's grace, purpose to spend time in the presence of Jesus for the sole purpose of getting to know Him better as Savior, Lord, and Friend. As you do so, God will change your heart and desires to be more like His heart and His desires. You will begin to hate sin and love righteousness. Only God can bring about this change in your life. As long as you stay close to Jesus and in a relationship with Him as Savior and Friend, He will cover you with His prefect righteousness (a perfect standing before God), and clothe You with His Holy Spirit. "Ask and you shall receive". "Seek and you shall find." "Knock and the door shall be opened." Jesus is waiting for you to ask, seek, and knock today.
